PURPOSE: To give an individual telephone number to each terminal equipment while utilizing a subscriber line effectively by making a subscriber line number of an exchange corresponding one by one to a terminal number so as to collect the subscriber lines between terminal equipments and subscriber lines.
CONSTITUTION: An exchange side line concentrator 1 connects to m-sets of subscriber circuits and n-sets of subscriber lines (n<m) are connected. A terminal side line concentrator connects to m-sets of terminal equipments and n-sets of subscriber lines are connected. When an incoming call request comes from a subscriber circuit of the exchange 3, the exchange side line concentrator 1 keeps the incoming request state to select an idle subscriber line and sends a terminal connection request signal corresponding to a subscriber circuit of the exchange 3 to the terminal side line concentrator, then the terminal side line concentrator calls a terminal equipment corresponding to the subscriber circuit. The terminal side line concentrator sends a terminal reply signal to the exchange side line concentrator 1 by allowing the terminal equipment to hooks off and the exchange side line concentrator 1 sends a reply loop to the exchange 3.
