In this analyte carrier, a metal thin wire is exposed partially in structure having a meso-porous substance membrane with a uniform-diametric tubular pore formed on a substrate, and having the metal thin wire in the pore of the meso-porous substance film. This manufacturing method for the analyte carrier has a process for forming on the substrate the meso-porous substance membrane having structure arrayed unidirectionally with the uniform-diametric tubular pore, a process for introducing a solution containing a metal compound into the pore of the meso-porous substance membrane, a process for converting chemically the metal compound to form the metal thin wire in the pore, and a process for removing selectively the meso-porous substance membrane.
