Title:
ANALYTICAL APPARATUS OF PROBABILITY CASCADE PROCESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6070386
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To analyze the unknown number of probability distributions contained in a probability cascade process, by constituting the titled analytical apparatus so as to calculate coefficient of expansion when the general functional of a probability function to be measured is subjected to Maclaurin expansion.

CONSTITUTION: When a γ-photon is incident on a scintillator 1, n-numbers of photons are generated with probability distribution P1(n) and the output of a photomultiplier tube 2 due to said photons is stored in a memory apparatus 4 through PHA 3. The secondary electron generating probability P2(n) of the photomultiplier tube 2 to one photo is known and the coming-out probability distribution P(n) of the output of the photomultiplier tube 2 is determined from memory data. P2(n) and P(n) have been respectively inputted to memory apparatuses 21, 23. The contents of the memory apparatuses 21, 23 are read by general function generators 22, 24 through a clock oscillator 20 and z-(variable) value is supplied from a z-feeder 28 while respective general functions U2(z), U(z) are sent to a general function operator 25 and the general function U1(z) of P1(n) is inputted to a Maclaurin expansion device 26 and unknown probability P1(n) is determined from the coefficient of expansion thereof.
