Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a method for measuring a substance to be inspected in a medium suspected of containing the substance to be inspected.
CONSTITUTION: A medium suspected of containing a substance to be inspected is treated under a condition generating the movement to the near contact position of a photosensitizer and a chemoluminescent compd. if the substance to be inspected is present. The photosensitizer generates singlet oxygen to activate the chemoluminescent compd. present at the contact near position. Subsequently, the activated chemoluminescent compd. emits light. The quantity of the emitted light is correlated with the amt. of the substance to be inspected contained in the medium. At least one of the photosensitizer and the chemoluminescent compd. pref. associates with usually suspensible particles on the surfaces of the particles and the member of a specific coupling pair (sbp) is coupled with the particles.
