To provide an inexpensive anchor bolt construction method for reducing the number of anchor bolts to be installed by improving an allowable shear capacity per anchor bolt.
In the anchor bolt construction method, a cylindrical hole 2 is formed opening to the surface of a concrete structure 1, an anchor bolt 3 is inserted into the hole 2, and filler 4 is filled between the inner peripheral face of the hole 2 and the anchor bolt 3 to construct the anchor bolt 3 in the concrete structure 1. An allowable shear capacity Qa1 per anchor bolt determined by the shear strength of the anchor bolt 3 and bearing strength cσqa of concrete are previously found. The hole 2 is formed whose opening area is such that an allowable shear capacity Qa2 per anchor bolt determined by the bearing strength cσqa of the concrete and the opening area of the hole 2 is greater than the allowable shear capacity Qa1 per anchor bolt determined by the shear strength of the anchor bolt 3.
