PURPOSE: To provide anchor pins, which have excellent performance and cost of which is reduced, in the anchor pins being driven to the slope, etc., of a mountain and fixing nets, etc., for a mortar-covered backing.

CONSTITUTION: An anchor pin consists of a tapered pointed end section 1 and a main body 2 having a constant diameter, and the pointed end section 1 is joined with the main body 2 by press-contacting. The outside diameter D of the pointed end section 1 may also be made larger than the diameter (d) of the main body. The pointed end section 1 may also be manufactured of a material harder than the main body 2. It is desirable that the cross section of at least a part of the pointed end section 1 be formed in a polygon. The pointed end section 1 is produced apart from the main body 2 through cold forging and other methods, and joined with the main body 2 by press-contacting, thus manufacturing the pointed end section 1 at lower cost than one body prepared through conventional mechanical cutting and forging. The quality of material and shape of the pointed end section 1 are changed, thus producing the pointed end section 1 having excellent driving performance, etc.
