PURPOSE: To obtain an angular velocity sensor which is small and lightweight, whose costs are low and whose sensitivity and reliability are high by a constitution wherein an electrode pattern is formed on a support member so as to derive a lead wire from there.
CONSTITUTION: A nonconductive material is used for a cylindrical support member 30, and electrode patterns 35a to 35d, 36a are formed on its upper edge, its outside face and its lower edge. In the support member 30, upper edge parts of the patterns 35a to 35d, 36a and extraction patterns 25a to 25d, 26a are connected electrically to the position of the node part of a sensor part so as to be bonded and fixed. Ends, on one side, of lead wires are soldered and fixed to outside faces or lower edges of the patterns 35a to 35d, 36a, and ends on the other side are soldered to electrode patterns on a circuit board. Thereby, the circuit board is connected electrically to the electrode of a piezoelectric element. Since the electrode patterns 35a to 35c, 36a are formed on the support member 30 and the lead wires are derived from there, it is possible to obtain an angular velocity sensor whose exciting frequency is stabilized, which is assembled easily and has high sensitivity and reliability.
