PURPOSE: To enable analysis of anion at a high speed with a high resolution eliminating reoperation of a cation remover by providing a double tube scavenger with a cation exchange film tube inside following a column filled with a specified anion exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: An anion column 7 of an anion analyzer by ion chromatography is filled with an ion exchanger in which fine particle of anion exchange resin is held and fixed on the surface of a synthetic resin particle having no ion exchange group with a resin identical or similar in the composition to the resin particle. A cation remover 8 comprising a cation exchange film tube 81 and an external tube 82 is used next to the column 7 to remove a cation in an elunent therefrom 7 by having it permeating the tube 81 with a water solution of dodecyl benzenesulfonic acid flowing to an outer chamber 86. This enables a high speed and highly accurate analysis without causing peeling or the like of the anion exchange resin fine particle in the column 7 eliminating reoperation of the device 8.
