Abstract:
To provide anion modified cellulose nanofiber aqueous dispersion having a CNF dispersion index equal to or smaller than a prescribed value evaluated by a method of quantitatively evaluating aggregates of CNFs in CNF dispersion indeterminable by visual inspection.SOLUTION: Anion modified cellulose nanofiber aqueous dispersion has a CNF dispersion index of 8,000 or less. The CNF dispersion index can be obtained by an evaluation method of CNF dispersion including: a step (1) of preparing 1.0 mass% of CNF aqueous dispersion; a step (2) of adding a coloring material to the CNF aqueous dispersion and agitating with a vortex mixer; a step (3) of holding the CNF dispersion containing the coloring material between two glass panes so as to make the dispersion 0.15 mm thick; a step (4) of observing a film of the CNF aqueous dispersion containing the coloring material held between the two glass panes by a microscope; a step (5) of classifying observed aggregates by a size (major axis) thereof; and a step (6) of calculating a CNF dispersion index from the number of the classified aggregates and evaluating dispersibility of the CNF aqueous dispersion.SELECTED DRAWING: None
