To provide an anionic electrodeposition coating suitable for recoating anionic deposition coating films.
This anionic electrodeposition coating having excellent overcoating adhesiveness is characterized by compounding an acrylic resin having a weight-average mol. wt. of about 30,000, an acid value of 53 KOH mg/g, and an OH group value of 72 KOHmg/g with a melamine resin-curing agent and a sulfonic acid-based compound such as dinonylnaphthalene sulfonic acid, isopropylnaphthalene sulfonic acid, dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid or dibutylbenzene sulfonic acid. The method for recoating the electrodeposition coating film is characterized by coating a melamine-cured acrylic resin-based anionic electrodeposition coating film containing a sulfonic acid-based compound with an isocyanate curing type fluororesin-based organic solvent coating.
