To obtain an annular winding motor having a small torque ripple achieved by the improvement in its winding factor.
The annular winding motor comprises a winding group 14 of a winding arrangement A wherein the winding 14 toroidally wound around the yoke 9 of a stator core 8 is arrayed in a specified order, according to the phase order of a multi-phase AC to be applied to the windings 14, and is alternately inserted in order into slots 11, 13 of the stator core 8; and a winding group 14, of a winding arrangement B with a phase different from the winding arrangement A. The winding is arrayed in the same order as that of the winding arrangement A and is inserted into the remaining slots 11, 13 starting from any slot. The distribution of a synthesized magneto-motive force is made closer to the sine wave when the multi-phase AC is applied to the winding group 14 of the winding arrangements A, B.
