To decrease degradation in a radio emission characteristic by having no influence incurred by the ground, support posts and booms, as a result of no need for the support posts and the booms, because an antenna can be supported by laying supports between the ground and a cylindrical conductor in consequence of arranging, above the ground, two antenna elements of the cylindrical conductor coaxially to each other and besides perpendicularly to the ground.
The antenna assembly is equipped with: a first cylindrical conductor 1 whose one cylindrical end face is closed with a conductor; a second cylindrical conductor 2 that has the same structure as the first cylindrical conductor 1 and a predetermined space between itself and the first cylindrical conductor 1, further that is arranged coaxially with the first cylindrical conductor 1 to be arranged perpendicularly to the ground, and furthermore whose end face is opposed to that of the first cylindrical conductor 1; a coaxial line that penetrates an inside of the second cylindrical conductor 2 to be drawn from a flat end face of the second cylindrical conductor 2, and whose outer conductor 5 and central conductor 4 are connected to the flat end face of the second cylindrical conductor 2 and the flat end face of the first cylindrical conductor 1, respectively; and an insulating body provided between the two flat end faces of the first and second cylindrical conductors 1, 2.
