PURPOSE: To facilitate tracking adjustment by providing a capacitor circuit for tracking correction using a switch circuit operated by a channel selection voltage so as to control a main tuning circuit in a way of increasing the capacitance at a low reception frequency on the main tuning circuit.
CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary tuning circuit 4 including a varactor diode 6 is connected between the main tuning circuit 1 using a varactor diode 2 as a variable tuning element and an external antenna 5. When a channel selection voltage is decreased, switching circuits 8a, 8b are operated and capacitor circuits 7a, 7b are connected in parallel with the varactor diode 2 in parallel to increase the capacitance of the tuning circuit. Thus, a capacitance C is added to the main tuning circuit at a lower reception frequency, resulting that the rate of change in the combined capacitance is changed largely at the lower frequency apparently thereby improving the characteristic curve of the combined capacitance with respect to the channel selection voltage. As a result, the entire AM band is covered without decreasing the reception sensitivity and the tracking adjustment is facilitated, as well.
