Title:
ANTENNA SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3363009
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antenna system reducing side lobes by narrowing a distance between specific dipole array antennas arranged oppositely to each other in accordance with a distance from a reflecting plate.
SOLUTION: Respective dipole antenna element groups M1 to M4, N1 to N4 each of which consists of four dipole antenna elements arranged at a distance (d) in parallel with each other and parallel with a planar reflecting plate R are arranged on respective straight lines obtained by rotating two vertical lines formed on one side of the plate R vertically to the plate R and separated from each other by a distance L1 around positions separated from the plate R by a distance L2 to the inside of a plane including the vertical lines by an angle α. A distance between the dipole antenna element closest to the plate R out of these dipole antenna elements M1 to M4, N1 to N4 and the plate R is L2. Signals having respectively different phases changed in each equal phase quantity and having equal amplitude are supplied to these elements M1 to M4, N1 to N4 along the straight lines.
