Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna unit capable of easily being plate-mounted on a mother substrate of an external apparatus and easily obtaining high reliability.
SOLUTION: The antenna unit is provided with a circuit substrate 1 in which a transmission/reception circuit section 2 is arranged on its bottom surface; a patch electrode 3 provided on the top surface of the circuit substrate 1 and connected to the circuit section 2 via a through-hole 7; a shield cover 4 made of a metal plate having a bottomed plate portion 4a arranged below the circuit 2, and surrounding the circuit 2 and holding the circuit substrate 1; a mounting terminal 5 formed by cutting and raising a part of the shield cover 4 and connected to a ground circuit of the mother substrate 10; and a connecting terminal 6 connected to the circuit 2 penetrating an insertion hole 4d provided on the bottomed plate portion 4a. The mounting terminal 5 and the connecting terminal 6 are arranged so that their lower ends have the same height, and these terminals 5, 6 are mounted on corresponding lands on the mother substrate 10 and are soldered.
