Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable the person in an anti-chemical suit to move and work with enhanced facility and safety by use of a transparent material for the construction of some sections of the hood for an enlarged field of vision.
CONSTITUTION: In an anti-chemical suit 1 made of a gastight chemical-proof material, almost the entire section of the hood facing the operator's face and the sections right and left of the said section are transparent windows 2 made of a transparent plastic material, with an auxiliary transparent window 3 again made of a transparent plastic material formed at the upper front side of the hood. A flexible band 4 is attached without play to the inner side of the section from shoulder to elbow so as to eliminate bagginess attributable to the operator' s physical size and movement. For the elimination of bagginess around the lumbar region, flexible bands are installed without play on the right and left sides in the anti-chemical suit 1. A waist belt 6 consists of two short belts, installed respectively in the right and left sides in the anti-chemical suit 1, not covering the middle section in the back.
