Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-connexin compound and composition advantageous for regulation of connexin, hemichannel and gap junction and useful for therapy of various diseases, conditions and disorders; and a use method of these compound and composition, a pharmaceutical formulation, a kit and a medical device.SOLUTION: A method and composition for regulating connexin activity for therapy of, for example, cardiovascular, vessel, nerve, wound and other indications are provided. These compound and method can be therapeutically used to alleviate seriousness of adverse effect related to a disease and a disorder where topical destruction of direct cell-cell communication or prevention of hemichannel opening is desired. One aspect provides a compound, composition and method for therapy of a subject affected with vessel disorders.
