Title:
ANTI-FOGGING CAMERA FILTER AND ITS ANTI-FOGGING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09230106
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To allow the condensed water of moisture and/or water drops stuck to a camera filter surface to spread uniformly on the surface of the layer and to prevent the fogging of the surface by the condensed water of the moisture and/or the water drops by providing the surface of the camera filter with a surface layer contg. a transparent photocatalytic titanium oxide particles.

The layer contg. the photocatalysts is formed on the surface of the base material and the camera filter surface is made highly hydrophilic according to the photoexcitation of the photocatalysts by having such surface structure. The term 'hydrophilicity' refers to the nature that the water fits easily to the surface when the water is dropped on the surface, generally referring to the state of <90° wetting angle with water. More specifically, the hydrophilicity refers to the state that the wetting angle with the water attains about ≤10°. The wetting angle with the water of ≤10° is preferable and that of ≤5°C is more preferable for the anti-fogging property. In such a case, sulfuric acid deposited A12O3, sulfuric acid deposited TiO2, sulfuric acid deposited ZrO2, sulfuric acid deposited SnO3, sulfuric acid deposited Fe2O3, TiO2PO3, WO3/SnO2, WO3/ZrO3, etc., are adequately utilized as the solid state acid.
