PURPOSE: To provide the titled film which has excellent anti-fogging properties at low temp. and immediately after the initiation of the use thereof and good persistence of said properties at high temp., by incorporating a mixture of partial esters of a specified higher fatty acid and a polyhydric alcohol in a synthetic resin.
CONSTITUTION: A polyhydric alcohol obtd. by condensing hexitol (a) or an alcohol (a) obtd. by removing one or two molecules of water therefrom with a polyhydric alcohol (b) selected from the group consisting of the component (a), polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, (poly)glycerol, pentaerythritol and trimethylolpropane by dehydration is reacted with a 12W22C higher fatty acid. The reaction product is partially esterified to obtain a mixture (B) of partial esters of a higher fatty acid and a polyhydric alcohol. 100pts.wt. synthetic resin (A) (e.g., PVC having a degree of polymn. of 1,000W25,000) is blended with 0.2W5pts.wt. component B and not more than 5pts.wt. thermal stabilizer, ultraviolet absorber, etc. (C). The mixture is molded to obtain an anti-fogging synthetic resin film of 0.01W0.5mm in thickness.
