A pharmaceutical/food composition containing an aqueous extract of Schisandra chinensis as an active ingredient is useful for preventing, improving, and/or treating obesity and hypertriglyceridemia, since the pharmaceutical/food composition exhibits excellent weight gain suppressing effect, body fat increase suppressing effect, and a blood neutral fat (triglyceride) reducing action and hardly causes side effects.
