To make it difficult for a set-in type anti-skid device to come off from a tire when an automobile travels at high speed.
The anti-skid device is configured as described below: several anti-skid bodies with U-shaped cross section are fitted and arranged around the tire in a direction toward a rim on its inner peripheral side from its outer peripheral side; the outer parts of the anti-skid bodies are connected to each other; the anti-skid body includes front and rear U-shaped members and an inside linear member; the inner parts of the front and rear U-shaped members are connected to each other with the inside linear member; front and rear connecting members are attached to the outer parts of the anti-skid body; and the rear connecting member of the anti-skid body is connected to the front connecting member of the backward adjacent anti-skid body. In the anti-skid device, the anti-skid body is provided with a hook 26 attached to the inner part 4 along the inside surface of the tire T or the outer part along the outside surface of the tire. The hook is configured so as to be hooked to a rim R of the tire, or a disk D on the inner peripheral side of the rim. Furthermore, a retaining mechanism 26, 27 is provided which prevents the anti-skid body from coming off from the tire in the direction of its outer peripheral side.
