Abstract:
To provide an antiallergic agent containing a novel antiallergic substance having strong inhibition of histamine release, and food and drink and a cosmetic which contain the antiallergic substance.
The antiallergic agent has Scutellaria lateriflora or its extract as an active ingredient and the food and drink and the cosmetic contain Scutellaria lateriflora or its extract. The antiallergic agent, the food and drink, and the cosmetic have extremely strong inhibition of histamine release and are useful in preventing and treating atopic dermatitis caused by type I allergic reaction, allergic rhinitis, pollinosis, allergic asthma or the like.
