PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial composition that has excellent antibacterial, mildew-proofing and seaweed-proofing actions and has effects of deodorization, antisepsis and the like by the actions.SOLUTION: The antibacterial composition as the first invention contains 2-mercaptopyridine N-oxide sodium salt, 2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-4-mesylpyridine, 3-cyanopyridine, 2,3,5,6-tetrachloroisophthalonitrile, 5-methyl-2-[2-(methylsulfonylamino)-4-(dipropylamino)phenylazo]isophthalonitrile, N,N-dimethyl-N'-phenyl-N'-(fluorodichloromethylthio)sulfamide as active ingredients to exhibit a synergetic effect with respect to prevention capability of fungus and effectively prevent extremely various kinds of bacteria, fungi, microalgae and the like.SELECTED DRAWING: None
