Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive which is used for anticorrosive coatings and is effective for preventing rust generation and marine organism adhesion without affecting marine environments, and to provide a coating containing the additive.
SOLUTION: This anticorrosive and antifouling additive for coatings contains at least one selected from bastnasite, monazite and Chinese complex ore, tourmaline, and zircon in amounts of 70 to 94%, ≥3% and ≥3%, respectively, based on the total amount of the additive. The coating contains the additive in an amount of 8 to 15% based on the total weight of the coating. Thereby, a prescribed amount of minus ions are generated to achieve the marine organism adhesion-preventing effect and the anticorrosive effect.
