To provide an antifalsifying medium, in which the discrimination of the genuineness or spuriousness of a reproduced spurious matter or an altered matter even with a (color) reproduction machine with any function and specification can be easily and surely executed without dependent on the wavelength and intensity of the exposal light source in the reproduction machine.
In this antifalsifying medium, at least 2 kinds of antifalsifying marks selected from the group consisting of an one color-printed antifalsifying mark A consisting of latent images and background arranged in the surroundings of the latent images, an antifalsifying mark B, which is thermally discolored by being heated to a specified temperature range and an antifalsifying mark C including a diffracted light patterned information layer are formed on a support. Though the latent image and its background are seen uniform with naked eyes, in the reproduced matter with the reproduction machine, both emerge in densities or lightnesses different from each other, resulting in allowing to visually discriminate one from the other.
