To provide an antifogging film capable of effectively imparting antifogging properties to a base material, and lasting the properties for a long period.
The antifogging film has a two-layer structure comprising (I-1) a hydrophobic polymer segment formed out of a hydrophobic polymer and a phosphazene-based hexafunctional methacrylate, or (I-2) a hydrophobic polymer segment formed out of a hydrophobic monomer and the phosphazene-based hexafunctional methacrylate, present at the base material side, and (II) a hydrophilic polymer segment formed thereon. The hydrophilic polymer segment (II) at the surface side is bound to the hydrophobic polymer segment (I-1) or (I-2) through a photoinitiation group fragment. The segment (I-1 or I-2) is formed out of the hydrophobic monomer having the photoinitiation group, and the hydrophilic polymer segment is formed out of a monomer having an amide group. The antifogging film is produced by bringing the hydrophilic monomer into contact with the layer comprising the hydrophobic polymer having the photoinitiation group, and irradiating the resultant product with active energy rays.
