To provide an antifungal agent for houses/furniture that can be applied not only to furniture, rugs, inner walls of houses but also to the outer walls of houses and buildings for protecting them from molds and fungi.
The antifungal agent for houses/furniture is suitably selected from preservatives, disinfectants and fungicides among food additives according to the food sanitation law and is used severally or in combination responding to the purposes, for example, for outdoor and indoor walls, windows, floors and furniture indoor of dwelling houses, buildings and factories with mildness to human bodies. Chlorinated bleaching agent has decoloration action and cannot be applied to the case where discoloration may be caused. Instead, benzoic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid ester, salicylic acid, sorbic acid, calcium propionate or the like may be used. o-Phenylphenol, sodium salt thereof, diphenyl or thiabendazole have been specified as an antimold agent for fruits and they may be used as the same purpose, too.
