To provide an antiinflammatory analgesic for external use which is a nonsteroidal-antiphlogistic-analgesic-containing external preparation having an improved ability to penetrate and diffuse into tissues situated beneath the skin and besides being lowly irritating to the skin and preventing retarded percutaneous absorption of the external preparation containing the nonsteroidal antiinflammatory in a relatively high concentration permits the nonsteroidal antiinflammatory to be efficiently delivered into e.g., inflamed or painful muscle and joint tissues.
The antiinflammatory analgesic for external use having a heretofore unattainable good effect is developed as the result of the finding that the above problem can be completely solved by selecting an arylacetic acid nonsteroidal antiinflammatory analgesic as the nonsteroidal antiinflammatory analgesic and adding an antihistamine thereto.
