Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an antimicrobial and antistatic fibrous sheet having remarkably enhanced antimicrobial properties essentially possessed by copper according to its combination with aluminum by weaving pile yarn containing the copper and pile yarn containing aluminum in a discharging fibrous sheet as a base fabric.
CONSTITUTION: Discharging yarn prepared by carrying out the copper plating on the surface of spun yarn composed of aramid fiber and yarn obtained by forming an aluminum layer on the yarn surface are sewn into polyester-based nonwoven fabric lengthwise and crosswise in the form of a lattice to form a discharging fibrous sheet. The discharging yarn prepared by subjecting the spun yarn composed of the aramid fiber to copper plating, the yarn obtained by forming an aluminum layer on the yarn surface and polyamide spun yarn as pile yarns as pile yarns are woven in the discharging fibrous sheet as base fabric to afford the objective antimicrobial and antistatic fibrous sheet capable of solving problems of trouble by static electricity and sticking and propagating of microorganisms at a stroke.
