Title:
ANTIREFLECTION COATING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3502150
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To apply antireflection coating of a single layer thin film having an enough antireflection effect without giving colors to transmitted light.
CONSTITUTION: Both surfaces of a transparent base body 3 are coated with a material having lower refractive index than the transparent base body 3 to form low refractive index thin film layers 1, 2 for antireflection having different film thicknesses from each other. The refractive indices n1, n2 and geometric film thicknesses d1, d2 of the low refractive index film layers 1, 2, respectively, and designed standard wavelength λ0 satisfy the relation of optical film thickness 0.167λ0≤n1d1≤0.188λ0, and 0.259λ0≤n2d2≤0.278λ0.
