Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound an antirheumatic agent having low side effects.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I (R1 and R2 are H or 1-4C alkyl; n is 2 or 3) such as N-{4-[N'-(2,4-diamino-6-pteridinyl)methylamino]-3- methyl}benzoyl-L-glutamic acid diethyl ester. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of II with a compound of formula III (X is halogen) in a solvent such as DMF.
