Abstract:
To obtain a new antiseptic which has extremely excellent safety and usability and can be formulated in a composition for external use and a composition for external use formulated with the antiseptic.
This antiseptic mildewproofing agent comprises a 2,2-dialkyl-1,3- propanediol of general formula (I) [R1 and R2 may be the same or different and are each a 1-4C alkyl group] as an active ingredient. This composition for external use containing the antiseptic mildewproofing agent is provided to solve the subject.
