PURPOSE: To make sudden starting and emergency braking possible without entailing any damage to traveling stability by making only the central part of an antiskid band rise from the side of loading action at the time when such a load as being more than the specified one acts in the tire tread tangential direction.
CONSTITUTION: Each of plural antiskid bands 10 is manufacture of plastic material or rubber with specified elasticity, and it consists of a central torsional part 102 being torsible so as to rise from the side of loading action and a central torsion difficulty part 103 being untorsible or difficult at both outer ends at a time when such a load as more than the specified one in the tire tread direction has acted on the antiskid band 10. At usual time, as the central torsional part 102 comes into contact with a road surface, the antiskid band 10 catches a snow-clad road or icy road with certainty. When a vehicle is quickly braked, if load of more than the specified one in the tire tread direction will act on this antiskid band 10, the central torsional part 102 is torsionally rolled so as to rise from the loading action side, whereby this rising part is bitten in surface jogs of a snow-clad road and an icy road, so that quick service can be done positively.
