To obtain an antislip rubber material, having a high static friction coefficient, capable of imparting effects such as easy walking even at low temperatures without damaging the floor surface by mixing a granular material having a smaller particle diameter than that of a conventional one in an epoxidized natural rubber, press molding the resultant mixture and then polishing and removing the surface after press molding.
This antislip rubber material is obtained by mixing (B) 30-100 pts.wt. granular material having ≥3 Mohs hardness and 40-200μm particle diameter distribution in (A) 100 pts.wt. epoxidized natural rubber with 25-60mol% epoxidation ratio. When the resultant rubber material is used for a shoe sole, etc., at least a part of the surface layer is preferably removed by a machining such as buff polishing to use the machined surface changed into a rough surface as a ground contact surface. Thereby, slipping on snow, a skating rink and ice can be prevented and the material can be used for the tip of a crutch, an antislip of furniture or various gripping materials, etc.
