To provide an antitheft apparatus capable of being surely supported even by a commodity like a rod-like member having narrow width size and surely preventing the commodity from being stolen.
The antitheft apparatus comprising an antitheft means 3 fixed on a fixing member 21, a coated conductive cord 5 connected to the antitheft means 3 and a stopper means 22 capable of stopping the loop part 5a of the coated conductive cord 5 on a suitable position is constituted so that a warning means is set to a stand-by state by clamping the loop part 5a on a rod-like member 2a of a commodity consisting of the rod-like member 2a having prescribed thickness and large diameter members 2b, 2c formed on both the ends of the rod-like member 2a as members thicker than the rod-like member 2a by using the stopper means 22 and the warning means is driven by loosing the loop part 5a so that the diameter of the loop part 5a becomes larger than the diameters of the large diameter members 2b, 2c by operating the stopper means, separating the antitheft means 3 from the fixing member 21 or cutting off the coated conductive cord 5.
