Title:
ANTITHROMBOGENIC ELASTOMER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6415058
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the adhesion of a platelet, by containing specific polyethylene glycol and polyester or a polyether type diol compound in a main chain as soft segments.

CONSTITUTION: The average MW of a polyethylene glycohol part contained as a soft segment is pref. 500W3000 and the content thereof is pref. 1W30wt.% from the aspect of the development of an antithrombogenic property and a dynamical property. As a soft segment other than the polyethylene glycol part, polyester or polyether having an average MW of 500W6000 is pref. An elastomer is constituted of substantially thermoplastic polyurethane or polyurethaneurea composed of a linear polymer containing a crosslinking structure and used in a state of a synthetic solution or precipitated in water and sufficiently washed with water or ethanol to remove impurities and dried to be used as a pellet. As a result, this elastomer is excellent in the antithrombogenic property of a platelet system.
