Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain new compounds useful as antithrombotic agents.
CONSTITUTION: This compd. is a compd. of the formula I {wherein A is the formula II [in which R is the formula III (in which each of (a) and a' is H or lower alkyl, etc.; (n) is 0 or 1) or thienyl, etc.; R1 is H, methyl or ethyl; B is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, OH, or amino of -N(R2)(R3) (in which each of R2 of R3 is H or lower alkyl, etc.) and others}, such as N-(N-t- butyloxycarbonyl-D-phenyl-glycyl)-L-azetidinyl-L-argininealdehyde diacetate. The compd. of the formula I is produced by coupling a cyclic lactam type arginine compd. of the formula IV with an amino-protected azetidine-2- carboxylic acid of the formula V to form dipeptide and then converting it via tripeptide to the objective compd.
