Abstract:

PURPOSE: An improved antitumor agent containing a specific hexaglycidyl-1,3,5- tris(aminomethyl)benzene having plural epoxy groups or cyclohexane.

CONSTITUTION: An antitumor agent containing a compound of the formula (ring A is benzene ring or cyclohexane ring; the respective glycidylaminomethyl groups are linked to the 1,3,5-positions of the ring A). The compound of the formula, i.e. N,N,N',N',N",N"-hexaglycidyl-1,3,5-tris(aminomethyl)benzene, and cyclohexane are found to have improved antitumor activity and to be useful as an antitumor agent. The mechanism of action thereof is not yet elucidated in detail, but the glycidyl groups seem likely to have an influence on the antitumor activity.
