PURPOSE: An antitumor agent containing a compound which liberates a compound having antitumor activity by radiation epoxure and has no toxicity at all or extremely low toxicity in itself.
CONSTITUTION: An antitumor agent containing a compound which liberates a compound having antitumor activity by radiation exposure, especially a compound [e.g., 5'-O-amino-2'-deocy-5-flurouridine, 1-[N,N-bis)ethomxycaronyl) amino]-5-fluorouracil, etc.,] shown by the formual [X is H or X' [X' is NR1R2 (R2 are H, alkyl, aryl, etc., ), OR3)R3 is aryl, aralyl, etc.,), etc.,]; Y is X'] and extremely lower toxicity itself than the antitumor compound. This compound can bremedy cancers by radiation exposure only to a site to be cured after administration and patients are not affected by a drug itself.
