Abstract:
To provide an apparatus for additive manufacturing of three-dimensional objects, improved taking into account possibility of proper change of beam properties, especially a beam profile, of a laser beam generated by a laser beam generation device.SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises: a laser beam generation device provided for generating a laser beam 5 with beam properties defined by at least one laser beam parameter, especially a beam profile defined by at least one laser beam parameter; and a modulation device that is annexed to the laser beam generation device and provided for properly changing at least one laser beam parameter that influences the beam properties, especially the beam profile, of the laser beam 5 generated by the laser beam generation device on the basis of a target value that is set or can be set, especially by a user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
