Abstract:
The apparatus has for purpose to facilitate the servicing of the blast- furnace in the region of the tap holes and runners by reducing the obstruction of the floor around the blast-furnace and permitting a more extensive automatization. The apparatus comprises a frame (1) which is movable in translation in a first direction so as to permit placing the frame either in a withdrawn position or in any one of a plurality of positions in which units, such as a drilling machine (A), a runner cover (B) or a stopping machine (C), are brought to the operating position.
