To provide an apparatus for dealing with level difference capable of preventing the detachment of a movable body from a boarding base without the need of a complicated linking mechanism.
The apparatus comprises the boarding base 1 on which the movable body with wheels such as a wheelchair can be loaded and which can be elevated and lowered, and a detachment prevention means provided on the boarding base 1 for preventing the detachment of the movable body from the boarding base 1, and the movable body can be carried between a prescribed level difference upper stage 11 and the boarding base 1 by elevating the boarding base 1. A bridge plate 8 which is housed in the boarding base 1, can be pulled out to the prescribed level difference upper stage 11 and enables the movable body to pass through is provided. Also, the a detachment preventing device includes a movable plate 2 which is provided on the boarding base 1 and can be erected and brought down, and the gear mechanism of a pinion 7 or the like for turning the movable plate 2 in the direction of erecting it from the boarding base 1 accompanying the elevation of the boarding base 1 and turning the movable plate 2 in the direction of bringing it down accompanying the pull-out operation of the bridge plate 8.
