To liquefy/recover the majority of a solvent vaporized/removed from an object contaminated with PCB (polychlorobiphenyls) in a first condenser without raising the cost of equipment.
The object contaminated with PCB which is cleaned beforehand by using a solvent, or the like, is housed in a vacuum heating furnace and heat-treated at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time under two or more different preset vacuums preset on the basis of the boiling points of respective substances such as the PCB and solvent stuck to the object contaminated with PCB to separately vaporize/remove respective substances such as the PCB and the solvent from the object contaminated with PCB. Each of the substances such as the PCB and solvent vaporized/removed separately from the object contaminated with PCB is brought into contact with a cooling medium kept at a predetermined temperature in any of two or more condensers arranged at a succeeding stage of the vacuum heating furnace, cooled/condensed and recovered.
