To obtain a transplanting vessel enabling an interval between and configuration of thin rods to be uniformly and regularly maintained over the whole surface of the transplanting vessel and enabling the collation of correspondence before and after the transplantation of the cultures to be made easy by arranging a plurality of thin rods in a straight line orthogonal grid state in a circular transplantation vessel used in a specific method for discriminating cultures.
A plurality of thin rods 102 (preferably having a diameter of 0.1-1 mm and the length of 3-10 mm) are arranged in a straight line orthogonal grid state (preferably the intervals are made to be 4-35 mm) in a circular transplantation vessel used in a method for discriminating cultures in which cultures are discriminated on the basis of their characteristics by simultaneously collecting cells from a plurality of colonies of the cultures which have propagated in a solid medium in a culturing vessel, by simultaneously inoculating the collected cells at a plurality of places on a solid medium in another culturing vessel and by individually observing characteristics of the inoculated cultures to discriminate the cultures on the basis of their characteristics. The transplantation vessel is useful e.g. for fermentation industry and pharmaceutical industry both requiring work such as the classification of the cultures on the basis of their characteristics.
