This apparatus for dividing a card web 1 into plural fragments of a long dimension is obtained by installing a suction box 5 on the side far from the card web 1 on an air-permeable conveying side (3a) and is capable of periodically opening and closing a suction slit 7 connected through the suction slit 7 extending at right angles to a conveying belt 3 to the conveying side (3a) in the apparatus for dividing the card web 1 equipped with the air- permeable conveying belt 3 and capable of dividing the card web 1 into the plural fragments of the long dimension.
