PURPOSE: To facilitate the work of taking out the raw material to thereby improve the workability and the efficiency of material treatment.
CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for extraction an oil component of Hiba (false arborvitae) from raw material H, such as saw dust of Hiba, by heating it with steam to extract the oil with steam, which is provided with a machine frame 1; a container 5 which has an entry and exit port 8 of the material H, contains the material H charged thereinto, is supported in such a manner that it is tiltable relatively to the frame 1, and can cause the material H to fall down through the port 8 when tilted; a lid 9 which covers the port 8 to tightly close the container 5; a steam-blowing port 30 for blowing steam into the container 5; a steam discharge port 36 for discharging from the container 5; a container- supporting mechanism 10 for supporting the container 5 tiltably relatively to the frame 1; and a driving mechanism for driving the container 5. In taking the residual material out of the container 5, the material falls down merely by opening the lid and tilting the container 5, thus facilitating the takeout work.
