To provide an apparatus for feeding plate materials with a relatively simple structure and being inexpensive by which stacked plate materials can be surely fed one by one and even if the thickness of the plate materials is changed, it can be properly cope with the situation.
This plate material feeding apparatus comprises a ascending and descending table lifter 1, a stopper 3 being stood left and right at the front of the table lifter 1 and for stopping a plate material, a measuring sensor part 4 being installed left and right by a definite interval on the top part and for detecting the top face position of the stacked uppermost plate material W, a plate material delivery means 5 for delivering the uppermost plate material, a plate material transfer means 6 for transferring the plate material to a processing machine and a plate material lifting means 7 by means of eccentric cams installed in the neighborhood of left and right end parts of the top face of the table lifter 1. Either left or right plate material lifting means 7 is controlled by a signal from either left or right measuring sensor part 4 to arrange a distance between the top faces of the left and right stoppers 3 and the surface of the second plate material to be at most plate thickness.
