Abstract:
To provide a proof forming apparatus with which the color of an objective printed material can be accurately and stably reproduced by using a relatively simple mechanism and dots are easily confirmed, or to provide a method of forming the proof.
The apparatus forms a proof of a printed material as an ensemble of dots on the basis of the digital image data of a multicolor printed material. An area gradation image corresponding to at least one printing color of the printed material is formed of at least two kinds of dots having a density difference of 0.01 to 0.5.
