To provide an apparatus for forming molten metal, which apparatus has a merit of a configuration for melting metallic material by means of a heating cylinder without using a melting furnace, and also has a merit of a cold chamber type die cast machine, and can surely prevent the oxidation of the molten metal in a nozzle portion provided on the front end side of the heating cylinder, and further can reduce the consumption of inert gas.
The apparatus for forming the molten metal comprises an inert gas supplying means for supplying inert gas into the nozzle portion, and a capping means capable of sealing the tip end opening of the nozzle portion, wherein the capping means opens the tip end opening of the nozzle portion from a sealed state before a pouring process, and also seals the tip end opening of the nozzle portion from the opened state after the pouring process.
