PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus which finishes drying at the most suitable end time, by determining drying end time corresponding to the amount of garbage and the kind thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A vessel 2 for holding garbage, a heating means 7 for heating and drying the garbage in the vessel 2, an end sensor 4 for detecting a temperature of the garbage, a speed-detecting means 9 for detecting a variation of the temperature detected by the end sensor 4, and an operating means 10 for computing drying end time on the basis of a value from the speed-detecting means 9, are provided. In the case where a small amount of the garbage is in the vessel, the variation of the temperature detected by the speed-detecting means becomes small, and in the case where a large amount of the garbage is in the vessel, the variation of the temperature becomes large. Therefore, on the basis of the variation of the temperature, the time of drying stage is determined.
